Project Description

Korean language and Hangeul

Hangeul is a phonemic writing system created in 1443 by King Sejong the Great, which consists of 14 consonants imitating the shape of phonetic organs and 10 vowels which are various combination of 3 symbols of heaven, earth and man.
This 24-character combination can depict more than 11,000 sounds. It means that Hangeul is able to depict almost all sounds and voices that exist in the world.
The population of Korean language speaking ranks 12th in the world, which is more than German, French speakers.
Moreover, Hangeul is said the world best writing system comparing with other letters in the aspect of rationality, scientific feature and originality, according to the study of Oxford University in the UK.
Furthermore, a large amount of linguists over the world definitely thumbs up for Hangul as the easiest and most scientific letter to learn.

Goal

Language is a container of spirit and culture of that country. These days a Korean Wave attracts people all over the world, and Korean language and literature are the best tool and window to open the spiritual world of Korean cultures and grasp the core of them.
Based on this excellence of Korean alphabet, our YTIT Korean literature department will do our best to produce Korean studies experts who cover Korean culture, tradition, society, politics and economy.

Korean studies professionals who are trained in our department will be a valuable human resources for devoting themselves to perform the various interchanges and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea.

It is possible to work as an interpreter at Korean companies and embassies in Uzbekistan, or continue to study the Korean studies, working as a Korean teachers and professors.

In cooperation and individual projects between the two countries, our graduates will be able to play an excellent role as coordinator thanks to their perfect understanding of Korea and excellent language skills.
